Property Search Group announces spectacles appeal for World Sight Day

In Property Search Group’s 20th year, 3 of its South West offices have joined forces to raise money for international charity Vision Aid Overseas.

In celebration of World Sight Day, PSG’s teams based in Swindon, Somerset and Plymouth are planning to visit law firms across the region to collect old spectacles for recycling. Vision Aid takes the glasses and recycles them, with the income generated from the campaign used to help train eye care workers in Ghana, Ethiopia and Zambia and provide eye care services and life changing glasses to some of Africa’s poorest areas.

There’s a new bike on the streets of Exeter this autumn and it’ll be arriving at a school near you soon!

The bike in question is a very special three-wheeler and it belongs to local nature charity, Devon Wildlife Trust. Since April the Trust has been running a project which is working with most of the schools in Exeter, helping them to take their pupils out of the classroom and into the great outdoors to learn more about nature and themselves.

A LAW firm in Teignmouth, Devon has raised more than £6,000 for charity after taking part in a will-writing campaign which asks lawyers to write wills for local people in exchange for a donation. Council meets with Network Rail to review outline design for next phase of Feniton Flood Alleviation Scheme

Progress is being made on Phase 3 of East Devon District Council’s Flood Alleviation Scheme for Feniton.

The council and its rail consultants, WSP, met in September with Network Rail to review the outline design, construction and maintenance methodology for the next phase of the project, which will involve placing a 1m diameter pipe (approximately 3 feet) beneath the railway to the east of the village.
