Why Sustainable Business Growth Starts With Better Strategic Choices

Sustainable business growth rarely happens by accident. While quick wins, sudden demand, or short-term campaigns can give a company a temporary boost, lasting success depends on the quality of the choices made behind the scenes. Every decision, from where to invest resources to which markets to enter, shapes how strong, adaptable, and profitable a business becomes over time.

Better strategic choices help businesses grow with purpose rather than simply chasing every opportunity that appears.

Growth Needs Direction

East Devon District Council’s trial handy person scheme, which was due to end in February 2016, has proved such a success with council tenants across the district, that it is now being extended for a further six months until the end of August 2016.

The extension will give the housing service a full year’s worth of data to evaluate and the results will determine whether it is feasible for the council to run this service in the future.

The scheme, which began in September 2015 is aimed at helping elderly and disabled tenants with small jobs around the home. The idea for the...

Leicester Tigers 31 Exeter Chiefs 27

One thing that’s a given with Exeter Chiefs is that their fighting spirit will always be there in abundance.

The fact they showed it for only 40 minutes at Welford Road was the real disappointment for head coach Rob Baxter, who had to watch his side fight back from 31-6 down to rescue a losing bonus against Leicester Tigers.

Exeter’s hopes of moving back to the summit of the Aviva Premiership ahead of defending champions Saracens were thwarted by an impressive Tigers side, who themselves moved back into the play-off picture with this bonus point triumph.

Work to replace a safety barrier and road re-surfacing on the A396, north of Cove, Tiverton, will take 13 days longer than originally planned.

Following a review by contractors, it is predicted that the current full time road closure will remain in place until the 24th March 2016.

The reason for the delay is due to a short section of the river bank not being strong enough to support the proposed safety barrier (road restraint system).

Additional piles and a raft foundation have to be constructed and to do this the contractor must drill through very challenging...
