Stagecoach South West is to introduce brand new timetables for one of their most popular routes which will now connect Devon with Dorset.

The new Service 9 will replace the existing Service 52 from 2nd May 2016, connecting Exeter to Sidmouth, Sidford and Honiton. A new Service 9A will operate between Exeter, Sidmouth and Seaton, replacing the 52A and including a new extension to Lyme Regis.

A decision by an independent planning inspector to allow development to go ahead in the Topsham Gap has been described as "extremely disappointing" by Exeter City Council.

Officers have strongly criticised the decision for failing to recognise local sentiment and called the government's formula for calculating housing supply as "illogical” and “fundamentally flawed".
