Officers from Devon, Cornwall and Dorset’s Road Policing Team will be mounting a week long campaign, targeting drivers of all types of vehicles who flout road traffic laws on roads.

Operation Vortex targets poor, inconsiderate and complacent driving across the region and aims to reduce the number of collisions and casualties on our roads.

Big boost for Devon residents and businesses with slow internet connections

Connection vouchers worth up to £500 are now available to residents and businesses across Devon and Somerset.

The vouchers will cover the cost of connecting to an improved broadband service to boost broadband speeds from 2Mbps, or under, to a minimum of 10Mbps.

Man seriously injured in South Devon crash

Police are appealing for witnesses to a collision in which a man was seriously injured near Teignmouth.

Officers were called to the scene shortly before 1am on Tuesday 19 April following reports of a single vehicle collision on the A381 Newton Road near Bishopsteignton.

A silver Suzuki Ignis collided with a stone wall near the Metro Motors car sales garage and the vehicle rolled causing significant damage to the car.

Britain’s fastest growing supermarket, Lidl UK, has revealed plans to open its 12th Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) in East Devon, following the submission of a planning application to build the 50,000 m² warehouse on a site at Clyst Honiton.
