One of Devon and Cornwall’s leading law firms has recorded exceptional financial growth in a year also lit up by a Sunday Times award, as it reveals its year-end figures. Stephens Scown LLP, which has offices in Exeter, St Austell and Truro, saw its revenue rise by 18% to £17.85m for the year ended April 2016, up from £15.1m in 2014/15. Exeter Science Park Centre has marked the launch of a new tech incubator initiative with a visit from two tech start-ups from Boston, US, looking for opportunities to expand their businesses in Exeter.

Devon County Council and the NHS are asking carers what they think excellent carers’ services would look like in Devon.

The organisations, which form the Devon Carers Partnership, are thinking now about the support services that they’ll be tendering again for in future, so they’ve arranged events around the county to ask carers what they think.

St James Park development gets go-ahead

Exeter City Football Club has conirmed that the Secretary of State has given the go-ahead to the St James Park Development.

Plans to replace the ageing Stagecoach Family Stand had been put on hold while the club waited to hear the outcome of a request for the development plans to be called-in from the St James Forum.
