Exeter and East Devon Enterprise Zone moved a step closer to becoming operational on Wednesday (9 November) as both Devon County Council and East Devon District Council agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Government. Leading local advice charity, Citizens Advice Exeter, is celebrating the role that their trustees play as part of national trustees’ week which runs until 13th November 2016.

Citizens Advice Exeter Chief Executive Steve Barriball said: “Trustees’ Week 2016 celebrates the UK’s 1 million trustees and promotes the benefits of volunteering to be a trustee. Bridge Road in Exeter will be closed later this month as part of ongoing widening improvements.

The road will be closed to traffic from 10pm on Friday 18 November until 5am on Monday 21 November, which will be the last weekend closure of 2016. The closure will enable the remaining concrete repairs to be carried out to the underside of the Countess Wear Flood Relief bridge. This has to be undertaken while the road is traffic free as vibrations from vehicle movements would affect the work.
