‘Leading’ the Way at Dawlish Countryside Park open day

Teignbridge is set to celebrate the opening of the new Dawlish Countryside Park on 3rd September with a free event where families and canine friends are welcome.

“A family day where dogs can play!” will be a fun-packed day for all ages to enjoy, whether or not you bring a dog with you.

Handmade cosmetic brand Lush is opening a new store in Princesshay Exeter, due to launch this autumn.

The new, larger premises on Eastgate in Princesshay will replace its smaller unit on Exeter High Street and will be located alongside NEXT and Carphone Warehouse.

Changes to traffic management layout on Bridge Road

Traffic management arrangements on Bridge Road will be changed tonight (Thursday 17 August).

Motorists heading outbound from Countess Wear Roundabout towards Matford Roundabout will be able to travel over the Swing Bridge again from around 8pm. There will be no need to close the road while changes are made. The new traffic layout will enable room for site staff to work safely on the central island. Police in Gloucestershire are appealing for the public's help to find a missing man who was last seen in Exeter.

Benjamin Gardner, 28, has not been seen since Friday 4 August after he checked out of the Mercure Exeter Southgate Hotel.

Officers are concerned for his welfare and are urging the public to call police on 101 if they see him.

Benjamin, from Cinderford in the Forest of Dean Area, is described as white, slim build, 5ft 5ins tall, with brown cropped hair and a moustache.

Woman dies after quad bike overturns

A 63-year-old woman has died after her quad bike overturned at Sampford Courtenay, Okehampton on Monday [14 August].

Police are investigating the collision which happened on the B3215 at Appledore Hill around 6pm.

The rider sustained serious chest injuries and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital. She died in the early hours of Tuesday [15 August].
