Exeter’s hopes of dining out with Europe’s elite in the latter stages of this season’s Champions Cup were sadly burnt to pieces in a crucial ten minute spell here at Scotstoun.

With little to choose between the Chiefs and hosts Glasgow Warriors at the break, it was the Scotsmen who prospered in the second period, claiming a first European win of the season, and with it extinguishing Exeter’s hopes of a last eight place.

A controversial yellow card against Chiefs scrum-half Nic White not only saw him banished from the action midway through the half, but the penalty try and...

The maths are simple, win or bust!

Exeter Chiefs know nothing less than victory will be enough for them as they look to qualify for the last eight of this season’s European Champions Cup.

Tomorrow, the reigning English champions head North of the Border for their final Pool 3 assignment of the season against Glasgow Warriors at Scotstoun (1pm).

Having propelled themselves back into contention with last weekend’s six-try, 41-10 victory over Montpellier at Sandy Park, Rob Baxter’s side know they will have to reproduce a similar performance, if not better, to over the...
