Exeter Science Park has strengthened support for its growing community of businesses with the arrival of insurance and risk management brokers Exe Insurance .

Bucking the trend for high street closures, zero waste provisions business Nourish is to open a second branch the heart of Exeter in mid-April.

A Devon couple have invented two new seagull deterrents which humanely prevent gulls from landing on roof tops.

The two new products, the Defender® Roof Ridge Bird Spike and the Defender® Chimney Pot Bird Spike, were devised by husband and wife team David and Kursty Jones. The products attach around chimney pots or directly to roof ridges and stop seagulls landing without hurting them.

HRH The Duke of York met with some of the current Met Office apprentices on Monday (18 February), while visiting Exeter to hold a Pitch@Palace On Tour event, an initiative founded by The Duke in 2014.

Exeter continues to benefit from multi-million-pound investment in gas network

Homes and businesses across Exeter and the surrounding area will continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply for years to come after Wales & West Utilities announced a £9.3 million investment in the local gas network during 2019.

The investment will see more than 73km of old metal gas pipes being upgraded to new plastic ones, while more than 5000 houses will also receive new gas supply pipes.

Local independent house builder, Devonshire Homes, has helped fundraise thousands of pounds for the charity that provides vital hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.

Exeter Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter insists he’s edging ever closer to putting in place his squad for next season after two more of his current stars agreed new contracts with the club.
