A technology firm is launching a unique ordering platform to help local businesses trade more safely and effectively during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Forage Lite, which is being launched today, will enable customers to order, pay for, and pick up goods, from local shops without having to come into the seller’s premises. Buyers only need a smart phone to access the new zero-contact click-and-collect way of shopping.

A major step to boost Devon's economy after lockdown is being taken by the county council and partners Exeter College.

A new academy for future skills will be created to offer training for high-tech jobs in engineering, digital, construction and clean growth.

Pandemic offers glimpse into a carbon neutral future

Devon’s carbon emissions have reduced by almost a quarter (23 per cent) during the lockdown new data suggests.

The data has been collected on behalf of the Devon Climate Emergency Response Group (DCERG), a group of public, private and voluntary sector bodies working to make Devon carbon neutral by 2050 at the latest.

It forms part of a discussion paper ahead of Friday’s DCERG meeting and suggests that the reduction in road transport and energy use has had an immediate and profound impact on emissions.
