Porter Dodson, the South West-based UK Top 200 law firm, has announced a record-breaking year of growth and achievement, increasing revenue to £20.2m, while retaining the highly prestigious Gold Investors In People accreditation for the third successive time.

Across its Exeter, Sherborne, Poundbury, Bridport, Wellington, Taunton, and Yeovil offices, the firm has seen year-on-year growth of 15.5%, leading to a 25.4% leap in net profit.

A group of charity-minded Exeter College students have been inundated with knitted clothing after a post asking for donations went viral on Facebook.

A tutor group of Health and Social Care students have been collecting various knitted items for distribution to neonatal units around the country to help keep babies that are premature or with additional needs to stay warm in the days after birth. Students had planned to contact a few local knitting groups to help create small knitted hats, gloves and blankets but after a poster found its way on to Facebook the request has gone viral...

Barratt Developments delivers £87m boost to economy in Devon and Cornwall

Leading housebuilder Barratt Developments - which owns both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes - has delivered a £87 million boost to the local economy in Devon, Cornwall and the surrounding region over the past year.
