SW businesses raise £900 for FORCE Cancer Charity at Exeter Padel Tournament

Business from across the South West came together at City Padel Exeter to raise £900 for FORCE Cancer Chairty as part of a charity padel tournament hosted by Konker .

The event saw 12 local businesses compete in a friendly tournament, combining sport, networking and fundraising in support of Devon based cancer charity. The day aimed to create a relaxed and social alternative to traditional business events, while raising money for a cause with strong local impact.

Browne Jacobson has announced the promotion of Jennifer Grigg in its Exeter office to a new senior associate role.

Jennifer joined the firm in 2016 from Dorset County Council and is a member of the firm’s Government and Infrastructure team specialising in non-contentious public procurement advice, projects and contract work.

This year, a total of 12 promotions to senior associate have been announced across four of the firm’s offices which also include six in Nottingham, three in London and two in Birmingham.

Councils call for High Streets Fund for new towns

Council leaders have jointly called on government to extend funding to create and improve town centres in new towns.
