A Redrow site manager at St Michael's Meadow has won a top national award for the quality of the homes they’re building in Exeter.

Roy Taylor has won a Pride in the Job award from the National House Building Council (NHBC) for the second consecutive year. This follows his success in 2025 when he achieved the Seal of Excellence in the regional stage of the competition – an accolade awarded to only the top 5% of site managers in the UK.

Award-winning Network Operator and Internet Service Provider Jurassic Fibre Limited (JFL) have joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) as Members. Their membership enables them to further enhance the security of their services, demonstrating how serious Jurassic Fibre are in protecting their customers, especially children, to keep them safe online.

JFL in the south west of the UK is a new alternative fibre-optic network. As similar networks are rolled out across the UK, implementing IWF tools and services to block access to child sexual abuse material is essential.

Popular hand-cooked potato chips producer Burts is celebrating after securing a region-wide listing with Tesco.

The two businesses have struck a deal for three flavours of Burts’ crisps to be sold in more than 60 stores across the West Country – from Yeovil to Ilfracombe and Gloucester to Helston.

A ceremony has been held to mark progress on vital infrastructure to support economic growth on the outskirts of Newton Abbot.
