TK Maxx presents Live At Powderham takes place across the weekend Thursday June 25 to Sunday June 28 with headline shows from Teddy Swims , Alanis Morissette and Lewis Capaldi.

Engaging in music throughout your life is associated with better brain health in older age, according to a new study published by experts at the University of Exeter.

Scientists working on PROTECT , an online study open to people aged 40 and over, reviewed data from more than a thousand adults over the age of 40 to see the effect of playing a musical instrument – or singing in a choir - on brain health. Community arts enterprise the Music in Devon Initiative CIC (MIDI) are delighted to announce that the first “Midi TV Awards” will be held at Bomba on Exeter Quay, Friday January 26th from 7.30pm.

MIDI TV is an online TV Station, akin to MTV for Devon. The MIDI TV awards aim to recognise and celebrate the huge amount of musical talent in Devon, with awards across 10 categories for the public to vote for.

A collaboration of local musicians have raised the tuneful sum of £906 for Rainbow Living, following a Celebration Concert for the Exeter charity.

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service’s Ceremonial Unit is banging the drum for new members.

The Corps of Drums are looking for experienced drummers or buglers to join them to perform at displays, ceremonies, parades and concerts.

They also take part in the Firefighters Memorial parade in London and Armistice Day parades in Ypres, Belgium. The Ceremonial Unit has been performing nationally and internationally for 30 years.
