This year the flower festival will transport you back to your childhood (farther away for some than others!) as the theme is Nursery Rhymes.
Around 20 displays will be on show in this beautiful old church, from Oranges and Lemons to Little Miss Muffet (watch out for the spider, only joking not real) and many more. The arrangers are hard at work designing their displays and it will be a delight, as always, to see the church filled with flowers.
Also there will be a splendid In Memoriam flower display, alongside the names of those to be remembered.
How would you interpret the films "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel",or "Four weddings and a Funeral" or the "Gruffalo" and many more films in flowers? The flower arrangers will attempt to do so in this very old listed church so it will be a marvellous display of flowers with a soft music in the background. Another feature will be a beautiful In Memoriam flower display along side a list of names that people wish to remember.
A very lighthearted church service of humerous readings and poems linked to the theme of films will be held at the end of the festival on 16 June at 5.30pm.
