Devon Artist Network (DAN) with Chagford-based sponsor Helpful Holidays is delighted to announce the winners of the Devon Open Studios Emerging Artist Bursary Scheme and the Joanna Radford Award 2017 - an initiative that opens the doors of opportunity to five lucky artists, living and working in Devon.

Devon Open Studios is a FREE visual arts event, and the largest showcase for art in the county.

Topsham Library opens to the public

Topsham Library is now open to the public in its new temporary home.

The library has been temporarily relocated to the Nelson Close Community Centre whilst a new Community Hub, which will include a new library space, is built on the former library site by the Estuary League of Friends.

The Library won’t be able to offer WiFi or access to public PC’s initially, but these services should resume by the end of June.

Topsham Library, run by Libraries Unlimited, will operate from the temporary premises whilst the building work takes places and will continue to offer all...

Free microchipping for pets in Exeter

It's now compulsory that your dog should be micro chipped.

Statistics (we like statistics) show that there are around 1.8 million dogs not chipped which makes them untraceable if they go missing. You just need to look on this site www.doglost.co.uk to see how common and frequent dogs do go missing.

As well as dogs going missing we also get the occasional dog that's been dumped, again having it legally chipped will help us ID the animal and owner.

Spanish desert blues trio Guadalupe Plata line up their next rollicking live show at The Phoenix in Exeter this Sunday (11th June).
