Devon's Luke Friend wowed the judges on last night's X Factor with his rendition of Seal's Kiss From A Rose.
Gary Barlow described his performance as the 'surprise of the night' and told him he'd come a long way in the competition.
Luke, 17, even washed his trademark flowing locks with shampoo (he usually only uses water) for his appearance.
Sharon Osbourne was also full of prasie for Luke. She told him: "You have such a distinctive vocal sound. You definitely have an edge you are definitely dirty.
"Your vocals have come on so far in the last three weeks...

Launched for the first time this year in Devon, the Venus Awards have spread thanks to the boundless energy and enthusiasm of founder Tara Howard, who wants to recognise and reward women in business not just in her home county of Dorset but all over the country. She says, “Sometimes women are not on a level playing field when it comes to business, I decided to find a way to recognise women in Business in their own right”.

A man has been arrested by police after wielding a large meat cleaver in a Barnstaple street.
At around 1.45am on Tuesday 27 August, police were called to a report of a man hitting lamp posts with a cleaver in Hughes Avenue.
On arrival, officers were confronted by the suspect who was still using the cleaver to damage lamp posts as well as other street furniture.
Officer were forced to withdraw after being threatened by the armed suspect and ensured any residents who had ventured onto the street to go back indoors while they awaited backup from firearms officers....
