Music at the Mill will showcase local young talent

Organisers of the 11th annual Lapstock Music Festival in Mid-Devon have announced the line-up of bands and performers for this year’s Music at the Mill which will feature more 30 acts over two days in July.

The event which attracts bands from all over the country and is highly regarded amongst musicians for its professional staging and equipment, features a free Friday night programme showcasing young South West based talent and a day-long Saturday session with 15 acts on the main stage and a further 11 acts on a separate...

Music at the Mill features 30 bands/performers on 3 stages over 2 days at Lapford Mill in Mid Devon. Friday night showcases young local talent and is free of charge. Headline acts on the main stage (Saturday) include Tankus the Henge and Lionstar both having played Glastonbury. Plenty of stalls and activities including ukulele and didgeridoo sessions, children's drum workshop, storytelling, yoga and jewellery making. Local real ale, cider and food stalls. Handel's Messiah

Following another capacity sell‐out last summer, Let’s Rock Exeter! will return to the magnificent Powderham Castle on Saturday 1st July 2017.

Wildwood Kin are an acclaimed anglo/americana trio from Exeter in Devon comprising of two sisters, Beth and Emillie Key and their cousin Meghann Loney. Evening Piano Recital - Stephen Beville

In this recital acclaimed pianist and composer Stephen Beville explores the 'free-fantasy' form for piano and its historical influence from the 18th and 19th centuries to the present day.

Chagstock 2017 day tickets go on sale

Chagstock Festival have announced that day tickets are now on sale for 2017.

Friday’s line-up includes Soul II Soul, Raghu Dixit, Slamboree and Undercover Hippy, whilst Saturday features The Shires, Dub Pistols, Skinny Lister, Mr Tea & The Minions, and house band New Crisis (featuring festival organiser Si Ford).

Day tickets start at just £55 per adult, and £40 per youth (aged 12 and up). Accompanied children under 12 are free as always and uniquely, a day ticket also includes one night’s camping.
