The corporate finance team at chartered accountants Francis Clark has been recognised as the leading financial adviser in terms of South West deal volumes.

The authoritative Experian Deals Review and League Tables H1 2014 study examines transactions including mergers and acquisitions, and equity capital markets completed in the first six months of 2014. Businesses have been urged to make sure they are up to speed with new flexible working legislation which came into force last week.

Transport and logistics business Gregory Distribution Ltd (GDL) has announced the purchase of M&D Transport, a refrigerated transport business based in Great Torrington, Devon, which operates in both the UK and mainland Europe mainly in the food and dry goods sectors.

Directors and staff of Wealth Management Company, Brewin Dolphin Exeter office held their annual summer party for clients and associates at Exeter Castle.

A health centre has undergone a major telecommunications revamp to help further improve customer service for its 10,000 patients.

Roborough Surgery, in Eastcote Close, Plymouth, has had a new call handling system installed by IP Office Ltd based in Exeter, which hopes to boost service efficiency. The new installation was completed last week and now call-handling is via a full commercial contact centre.
