Frances Clark and Foot Anstey lead SW corporate finance market

Independent research by Experian has identified the award-winning corporate finance team at chartered accountants Francis Clark as the dominant financial adviser in the South West having almost doubled its deal volume over that achieved in 2013.

The Francis Clark team achieved 40 deals in 2014, more than the total volume of the next four South West corporate finance teams combined, which sees the firm jump 14 places in the national league table to 20th, the only non-Top 10 accounting practice to be included.

Exeter women are being urged to fight dirty when it comes to conquering cancer - by signing up now for an exciting new event from Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life.

JLL’s Exeter office has announced it is moving to the best office building in central Exeter – The Senate.

The move to larger premises, from nearby Keble House, is a reflection of the global property firm's ongoing success and need to accommodate its growing team.

The property consultancy firm, which has had a presence in the city since 1990, has agreed to take a large part of the ground floor of the office building, from landlord Valad, as the firm continues to expand its business. It has agreed terms on over 4,500 sq ft of Grade A office space.

SW private sector output continues to rise

Private sector output in the South West of England continued to rise at a strong rate in December, according to PMI® survey data.

Growth was supported by higher new business volumes and the level of incomplete work continued to rise, despite a further robust round of job creation. Business confidence in South West has slipped in the last six months, partly due to renewed concerns on global growth, according to the latest Business in Britain report from Lloyds Bank.
