Chiefs support FORCE Christmas party with star prize

It is only five weeks until FORCE’s big “Christmas at the OK Corral” bash at Sandy Park.

And the Exeter cancer charity has today announced its star auction prize that will be available only to party-goers on December 7.

“This is something you simply won’t want to miss,” said Sarah Daniels, FORCE Head of Income Generation. “We are so excited that we have secured a fabulous VIP package to watch the mighty Exeter Chiefs.”

The winning bidder will get two executive box VIP-hosted tickets to join Chiefs Directors for a home match in the Baxter Suite. The package includes...

Derby Day defeat hurts Steenson

Gareth Steenson insists he and his Exeter Chiefs team-mates will pick themselves up despite suffering yet more late heartache during Sunday’s Aviva Premiership clash with rivals Bath.

Semesa Rokoduguni’s converted try – seven minutes into added on time – saw the Chiefs undone right at the death, eventually going down 13-10 in front of a capacity crowd at Sandy Park.

Not for the first time this season, Rob Baxter’s side were again left to wallow in yet another narrow reverse that has left them seventh in the current Premiership standings.

However, skipper Steenson...

The spacious room features a bar, private entrance and large outside area and is an ideal blank canvas for wedding receptions and other events. The Wigwam Marquee adds to Sandy Park’s already substantial wedding and events offering. The versatile venue has a civil ceremony licence and a range of suites to suit...

Exeter Chiefs 10 Bath Rugby 13

The clocks may have gone back overnight, but Bath used over time at Sandy Park to seal themselves a priceless Aviva Premiership victory over Exeter Chiefs.

Winger Semesa Rokoduguni landed the knockout blow for Todd Blackadder’s high-flying oufit, flooring the Devon outfit with a try seven minutes into added on time.

The England international powered his way to the line to seal a remarkable result for the visitors, whose other points on the day came from the boot of George Ford.

Up until then, however, Rob Baxter’s side looked to have been on course for a notable...

Chiefs side to face Bath Rugby

Exeter Chiefs head coach Rob Baxter may have seen seeds of encouragement during his side’s European Champions Cup loss in Belfast last week, but he insists there is still plenty of room for growth moving forward this season.

After back-to-back European losses against ASM Clermont Auvergne and Ulster, Baxter’s side return to domestic matters this Sunday with a mouth-watering showdown against local rivals Bath at a packed out Sandy Park (3pm).

With just two wins on the board so far this season, the Chiefs - who still sit fifth in the current standings - know they need to...

Eight youngsters have completed an initial two-week course run by Motiv-8sw and were presented with their certificates at a celebration event on Friday (Oct 21) by radio and television broadcaster Judi Spiers.

They also worked with Exeter Chiefs’ players during the course, as they built their confidence and developed new skills...

Ollie Devoto is banking on home comforts to help reignite the Exeter Chiefs ahead of Sunday’s crunch Aviva Premiership encounter with former club Bath at Sandy Park (3pm).

After back-to-back losses in the European Champions Cup against ASM Clermont Auvergne and Ulster, the Devon outfit resume domestic matters this weekend with a mouth-watering local derby encounter.

With a sell-out crowd already assured and both clubs desperate to claim vital league points, the 23-year-old – who swapped playing life in the Roman City for that of Exeter this summer – believes this latest...

Chiefs v Bath sold out

Sunday's Aviva Premiership clash between Exeter Chiefs and Bath Rugby is now officially sold out.

The final tickets for the much anticipated encounter were sold this afternoon and will mean over 12,500 fans will be packed inside Sandy Park.

It will be the first meeting of the two clubs this season with the Chiefs - currently fifth in the Premiership standings - looking to overcome third-placed Bath, who have lost only once under new Director of Rugby, Todd Blackadder.

Exeter Rugby Club chairman and chief executive, Tony Rowe OBE, said: "Games between ourselves and...

Ulster Rugby 19 Exeter Chiefs 18

In the city which built the ill-fated Titanic, Exeter Chiefs were left with that sinking feeling in this dramatic European Champions Cup encounter at the Kingspan Stadium.

Paddy Jackson’s late drop-goal condemned Rob Baxter’s side to back-to-back defeats in the competition and robbed Gareth Steenson of a happy homecoming back in his native Northern Ireland.

Steenson plundered all 18 of Exeter’s points on the night, landing five penalties and a drop-goal, in another accomplished display from the Dungannon-born marksman.

However, he could not deliver the final nail...

Exeter Chiefs may be only one game into their last European Champions Cup escapade, but head coach Rob Baxter is all but resigned to the fact that it’s effectively ‘win or bust’ for his side this weekend.

Undone 35-8 by current French Top 14 leaders ASM Clermont Auvergne last Sunday, the Aviva Premiership outfit head across the Irish Sea for Saturday’s Round Two clash with Ulster Rugby at the Kingspan Stadium (7:45pm).

Like the Chiefs, the Irishman started their own Pool 5 exploits with defeat against French opposition, going down 28-13 away to Bordeaux-Begles.
