A new eatery is coming to Exeter’s Heritage Harbour in September.

The coastal Thames barge Snark will be arriving in Exeter on 23rd and will be berthed in the Canal Basin for six months providing a unique and very special winter dining room.

Snark is a traditional seagoing sailing ship providing sailing holidays in the summer and onboard dining in the winter.

Last year she sailed around Britain and next year she will sail around the English Channel, the Channel Islands and Isles of Scilly.

Aldi is currently looking to recruit for 173 store colleagues in Devon.

In a welcome boost to the local economy, the UK’s fourth largest supermarket is looking for people of all levels of experience to fill roles at its stores across the region.

This includes both full-time and part-time positions such as Store Assistant and Stock Assistant, all the way up to Assistant Store Manager.

Part of Exe Estuary Trail to close for three months for repair work

Part of the Exe Estuary Trail will be closed for three months later this year for repair work.

The Courtlands Boardwalk section, between Lympstone and Exmouth, will close in late September after an inspection found that timber elements of the structure are deteriorating.

In order for them to be replaced with a “more durable fibre-reinforced material,” Devon County Council says the section will be out of use for around three months. A diversion will be put in place.

The live music sets will take place between 6:30-8:30pm on different weekdays, dependent on location, at some of the restaurants’ most iconic outdoor dining locations.
