Tickets for the 2017 Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink are now on sale online - a great Christmas present for foodie friends and family!
For the first time, 2017 sees the festival move to the early May Bank Holiday weekend, from Saturday 29th April to Monday 1st May 2017, running for all three days of the Bank Holiday.
The 14th Exeter Festival of South West Food & Drink will take place in the heart of Exeter at the beautiful Northernhay Gardens and Exeter Castle and will feature more than 100 producers from the region as well as demonstrations from top...
Throughout December Devon and Cornwall Police will be making sure that the region’s roads are a safe place for everyone.
Any drivers involved in a collision and any motorists whose driving may lead police to suspect they are under the influence of alcohol will be breathalysed. If drug driving is suspected, drivers may have to undergo a roadside sobriety test.
Roads Policing Inspector Richard McLellan emphasised that being “under the limit” does not necessarily mean that a driver’s judgement and abilities are not impaired.
Anyone planning to shop for Christmas in East Devon’s lovely towns this year or explore the district’s beautiful countryside can take advantage of the district council’s winter parking special offer and park in any EDDC car park for just £2 a day after 10am.
The cut-down tariff was introduced on November 1 and runs until March 31 2017. It’s great value for shoppers who can take their time as the ticket will cover them for the rest of the day, up until midnight.
The temporary tariff will also support local shops, cafes and restaurants during the traditionally quieter months...
with Giles Shenton as ‘Herbert’ by Alfred Shaughnessy from the novel by Reginald Arkell Directed by Simon Downing
Giles Shenton, as Old Herbaceous, keeps us engrossed, entertained, amused and emotionally engaged. Old Herbaceous is an acute and sometimes hilarious observation of relationships between the classes in a gentler, simpler age.
Sprinkled with witticisms and epithets. Giles Shenton truly lives the part and makes us feel it’s a private chat from a bygone and comforting age that leaves us with a feeling that, perhaps, all’s right with the world. The humorous love...
A heart-warming feel-good comedy about the search for love, acceptance, and penguins.
Penguins, like you and me, can’t tell the difference between other male and female penguins. During the annual mating season, this quirk leads Kev [the penguin] to couple up with Miguel [the penguin], a gay penguin coupling not uncommon in real life. Very loosely based on true events, the play follows Kev and Miguel’s story, as well as that of their best friends Meggie and Willis, from their perspective and the perspective of the humans. The play also follows a documentary filmmaking team as we...
