Exmouth Quay’s annual concert of traditional Christmas carols held on Sunday 11 December was a huge success with well over a hundred people joining in the fun.
The Exmouth Town Band, Exmouth Shanty Men, and the Woodbury Community choir provided the music for the event which was hosted by Martin Nicholls and raised funds for Christian Aid.
Property developer Eagle One, who built most of the quayside homes and are just completing the last 14 apartments at The Point, is the main sponsor of the event. Other traders at the Quay provide help with the fund-raising and the event...
'The Kardashians Made Me Do It' is a searing and urgent exploration of life, love and Jihadi brides.
The show is inspired by three girls who left Bethnal Green to join ISIS, and an unrelated radio piece Shazia contributed to the BBC which subsequently received a record number of complaints. The show tells of the confusion it caused, as she looks into the nature of offence, the dangers of politically correct liberalism versus the sinister and terrifying intrusion of ISIS into the lives of young British Asian women.
Exeter Chiefs youngster Jack Maunder admitted to have mixed feelings in the aftermath of his side’s latest European Champions Cup defeat at the hands of Bordeaux Begles.
Scrum-half Maunder claimed his first-ever try in Exeter colours during the first half at Sandy Park, but it proved not enough as the French side hit back in the second period to record a 13-7 victory over Rob Baxter’s side.
The defeat – Exeter’s third in the competition this season – means they remain rooted to the foot of Pool 5 with their European aspirations all but over for another season, despite...
At around 12.50am on Monday 12 December 2016, a man armed with a large knife, entered the Esso petrol station on Cowley Bridge Road in Exeter.
A man, thought to be in his late 30s, picked up a till which was located in the Subway concession of the store. He was unable to open the till and threatened a member of staff to hand over approximately £400 in notes.
The man left the shop and ran into an alleyway which leads through to Lower Argyll Mews. The police helicopter was called to assist in the search for this offender.

Giles Shenton, as Old Herbaceous, keeps us engrossed, entertained, amused and emotionally engaged. Old Herbaceous is an acute and sometimes hilarious observation of relationships between the classes in a gentler, simpler age.
Sprinkled with witticisms and epithets. Giles Shenton truly lives the part and makes us feel it’s a private chat from a bygone and comforting age that leaves us with a feeling that, perhaps, all’s right with the world. The humorous love story of a single-minded yet gentle...

Now, having collated the thousands of responses received, the team has revealed how...
