Devon artist Julie Dunster is challenging you to help her to create a five foot high landscape painting for her upcoming exhibition “A Sense of Devon” which takes place at the Beehive, Honiton from 16th May to 12th June 2017.

She explains, “I feel that memories ‘frame’ our sense of place. Photographs contribute to our memories. So, for this exhibition I am asking the public to donate photos of Devon, to provide a ‘visual memory frame’ for a large semi-abstract painting I created from my own Devon memories. The PGA West Region Year 2 Golf Assistant of the Year 2016 is joining the Professional Golf team at Exeter Golf and Country Club on Tuesday 14th March.

Tom Jessamine is moving from Woodbury Park to Exeter Golf and Country to join the increasingly successful professional golf team in Exeter, headed up by Darren Everett.

Bampton Library announces official opening date

Bampton Library has confirmed it will open the doors to its new library, based in the Library and Resource Centre in the Old Schoolroom, on Monday 20th March.

Libraries Unlimited, the charity responsible for the running of all Devon’s libraries, has also confirmed there will also be an official opening on the morning of Thursday 6th April from 10am, with all local residents’ welcome.

The Library will close temporarily on Thursday 16th and Saturday 18th March in order to allow for the much-anticipated relocation, opening again on Monday 20th at 3pm when visitors will be able...

4,199 children in Exeter join WWF’s Earth Hour

4,199 pupils across 14 schools in the Exeter area have already signed up to support WWF’s Earth Hour.

In fact, in the last five years alone, over two million pupils aged 7 to 14 across the UK have taken part in the world’s largest demonstration of support for action on climate change.

With more schools than ever before getting involved this year, including St Sidwell's CE Primary School & Nursery, The Maynard School and Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education, the 10th anniversary of Earth Hour is set to be the biggest yet.

Leaving is a new play by Paddy Campbell (writer of Wet House, one of The Guardian’s Top Ten plays 2013) and created with Amy Golding who was recently at The Bike Shed Theatre with Preggers.

The Rathbones Spring Concert Series returns to Exeter’s Royal Albert Memorial Museum on 22 March 2017 with a recital by the former Royal Harpist to HRH Prince Charles, Catrin Finch.

Now in its fourth year, the charity concerts, in aid of the RAMM Development Trust, offer music lovers the chance to enjoy first-class musicians playing in the intimacy of the museum’s art gallery.
