Long-awaited town centre for Cranbrook agreed by East Devon District Council Cabinet

Cranbrook will get the town centre it deserves including a Morrison’s supermarket, a range of shops, a youth centre, library and town council offices following a decision by East Devon District Council’s Cabinet last night.

The council has struck a hard-fought deal with developers to bring forward multi-million pound plans which includes land to provide a range of other community, leisure and business spaces and could include a leisure centre.

FoodCycle , the charity that fights food poverty and loneliness will continue to provide free meals to people in need across Bath , Bristol Barton Hill, Bristol Easton and Exeter during the current national lockdown.

As a vital service providing food and conversation to thousands of people every week across the country, FoodCycle projects can legally operate. People are being encouraged to take photographs of ‘Wildlife at Home’ in a fantastic new competition with some great prizes up for grabs.

Exeter City Council has partnered up with Devon Wildlife Trust, who manage Exeter’s Valley Parks on behalf of the Council, to see what wildlife people have in their gardens or backyards across the city.

Devon County Council stands ready to help those who are most badly affected by the latest lockdown, council leader John Hart declared today.

Loneliness-fighting Devon charity TRIP Community Transport has met over 4,000 requests for community support during the pandemic thanks in part to the Exeter Community Energy (ECOE) community fund. ECOE awarded TRIP £500 to cover staffing costs from its community fund, which is accepting new applications until 5pm Friday January 15th.
