The star of the legendary Holidays are Coming advert will be touring the country, making 64 stops at many towns and cities on its route and surprising consumers with a selection of festive treats and on Wednesday 19 December the truck is here in Bedford Square in the centre of Exeter.

Hospiscare's two city centre shops will both be open for late night shopping in the run-up to Christmas The stores, in Fore Street and Sidwell Street, will stay open until 8pm on Thursday nights and both will also be opening on Sundays. Fore Street, where there is a very popular vintage section in the basement, will open from 10am until 4pm and Sidwell Street, which is opposite John Lewis, from 10:30am until 4:30pm.

On Sunday afternoon, friends of Michelle Conroy gathered outside the St Petrock’s Centre on the Cathedral Green to say their goodbyes. Michelle was the young homeless person who was killed by a falling tree during the storms last week.
About 50 people were present, most of them from Michelle’s ‘street family’. One friend sang a song and then prayers were led by Canon Anna Norman-Walker from the Cathedral. Everyone was then invited to write a few words in a book of remembrance. This will be in St Petrock’s this coming week and then sent to Michelle’s family in the Channel...
