Exetreme Imagination is a festival of writing for and by young people, as well as for older generations who wish to celebrate our young people's achievements and reminisce over their own childhood memories.

With events at various locations in and around the city of Exeter, the festival runs from 16-24 February 2013.

The festival has grown up through a collaboration of partners across the city and beyond who all aspire to celebrate young people's literature, art and culture. Pre-festival projects have produced many exhibitions and performances waiting to be seen and enjoyed...

Silverton villagers braced for space ant war

Villagers in Silverton are bracing themselves for the onslaught of an intergalactic battle between giant ants and evil lizards, aided by a dalek of course, as space wars come to mid Devon.

The terrifying creatures will land in the Exe Valley this February in a brand new space-age community musical.

The interstellar Ants in Space! bursts on stage at Silverton Community Hall from February 21 – 23 2013 featuring four live, action-packed, shows.

Lambing Sunday at Bicton

Take this rare opportunity to visit our farm and have-a-go at some exciting, unusual and adrenaline pumping activities. A fantastic day out for all ages. Park at Bicton College and take the tractor and trailer ride to Bicton Home Farm where you will meet our agriculture team. Farm Manager Paul and shepherd Phil will be on hand with the agriculture students helping Bicton’s sheep to deliver their babies, but this year there is so much more to see and do:

Killerton Lecture Lunch - Vintage Fashion 1900 to now

Dare to Climb Your Family Tree for Beginners

Comedy Hall presents Alistair McGowan: Not Just a Pretty Voice

The Nation’s favourite impressionist, Alistair McGowan, goes back to his stand-up roots for a new two-hour show.

Asking the big questions like: would the world be a happier place if Ed Miliband was Prime Minister? What are we really thinking while watching Shakespeare and and is Hilary Devey Jessie J’s mum?

Expect to hear everyone from Andy Murray to Colin Murray, riffs on everything from Jeff Stelling to bad spelling and at least one song about butter.

Objects of Desire, Killerton's 2013 costume exhibition

This fashion exhibition will have some of the most luxurious vintage fashion and accessories from the 20th century and highlight the ultimate in designer and couture clothes.

Lord Mayor of Exeter's Valentine's Masquerade Ball

The Lord Mayor of Exeter, Councillor Rob Newby, is hosting a Valentine’s Masquerade Ball in aid of his chosen charity SOCOPS (Social Opportunities), on Friday 15 February.

Thick as Thieves provide the live music and there will be an auction and casino.

Tickets: £45, £80 per couple, £375 table of 10 to include dinner, complimentary drink and casino chips.

After party tickets: £12.50, admission from 10pm.

Dress code: black tie/formal wear, masks optional.
