Devon and Somerset Trading Standards Service has joined a national initiative to support victims of mass marketing scams.

The National Scams Team is a project funded by the National Trading Standards Board and hosted by East Sussex Trading Standards Service. It works with local trading standards authorities, and a range of other organisations including the Police and Royal Mail to help identify serial victims of mass marketing scams.

Sporting enthusiasts from a wheelchair badminton club in Devon will be able to enjoy new equipment, thanks to a generous donation from local heating oil supplier. The Devon Racqueteers Club was formed in 2008 and is now the largest wheelchair badminton club in the UK. Members enjoy the social side of meeting together and playing for fun and have also had considerable success winning many gold and silver medals at various competitions. The council had recently evicted two other tenants from flats in Exmouth and Budleigh Salterton due to repeated incidents of anti social behaviour

Judges of the Michelmores and Western Morning News Property Awards commended the building as a "real asset" for Exeter.
