Couples across the South West now have access to improved fertility services to help them achieve their dreams of starting a family thanks to the re-launch of an Exeter clinic.

Fertility Exeter combines the high quality NHS fertility services provided by the Royal Devon & Exeter NHS Foundation Trust (RD&E) with the self-funded treatment provided by the independent Peninsular Centre for Reproductive Medicine (PCRM).

Mystery moggy at Exeter Hospice

A moggy mystery has unfolded at Hospiscare’s Exeter hospice – a stray ginger cat, who staff have nicked named Boris, regularly pops into to see nurses and patients.

Boris jumps in through open windows or ambles through open patio doors and is a regular sight in the offices and ward.

He enjoys cuddles from cat loving Hospiscare nurses and patients and sometimes snuggles up on staff chairs in the ward office but there are concerns that he might get locked in the numerous different rooms at the Dryden Road building. Also, Boris has recently lost weight.

Tourism Society Westcountry’s next meeting is on June 11th at Castle Drogo to discuss the ‘Gove effect’ and what can be done to address the huge loss of business now being seen in the region. The so-called 'Gove Effect' has had a huge impact on tourism in the Westcountry over the last 18 months, with changes to Education Regulations introduced by Michael Gove applying tighter restrictions on holidays in term time.

Lesley Beard, 47, of Goldcroft Court, Yeovil, was last seen in Exeter on May 18th.

It is believed that Lesley was seen at the Post Office on Sidwell Street, Exeter, at 10.30am on May 18th.

Exeter resident Josh Ellis has been awarded the title of the South West’s 2015 VQ Learner of the Year, in recognition of his outstanding achievement following a vocational qualification in Plumbing at Exeter College. The largest ever survey into crime and anti-social Behaviour (ASB) in rural areas has been launched in England, Wales and Northern Ireland to find out how the police can better serve rural communities.

The survey, launched by the National Rural Crime Network (NRCN), is calling for people who work or live in rural areas to come forward and give their views on policing in their community, the impact crime and ASB has on them and their neighbours and to ultimately help shape the future of crime prevention and rural policing.
