The ever popular Stan Hacking Band Christmas Spectacular Concerts return to the Barnfield Theatre this year. This woodwind, brass and percussion band will entertain you with a wide variety of music including marches, classical favourites, music from film and stage and of course plenty of Christmas classics. Join the band for a lively evening of wonderful music to get you into the Christmas mood!

Over the years the band has raised over £320,000 for local charities. This Christmas the band will be supporting Devon Air Ambulance and The South West Multiple Sclerosis Centre.

Op Slug cuts allotment crime in Exeter

Police in Exeter are so pleased with the results of Operation Slug that they are hoping to expand the operation.

The scheme has seen a 90% reduction in crime and allotment thefts using Smartwater, an invisible property-marking solution.

Launched across 26 of the city’s allotment sites, Op Slug has prevented burglaries to sheds and outbuildings. 1300 allotment holders have been protected, and their expensive garden tools from being stolen.
