Deaths

Peter Millett, a well-known County Probation Officer who worked in Mid and East Devon, Exeter Prison and was one of a number of outstanding Probation Liaison Officers to the Crown Court, has died aged 90. A wise and charming man of great integrity, he was an important influence on those he came into contact with during his twenty years with the then Devon Probation Service. He epitomised all that was best in that role: exercising a disciplined discretion while encouraging someone who might potentially be dangerous to face up to their responsibilities to both courts and the community....

Suddenly but peacefully at home on 23rd February aged 83 years.

Devoted husband of Margaret and much loved father of Nicola. A loyal friend to many and will be sadly missed by all who knew him.

Funeral service on Thursday 10 March at Exeter and Devon Crematorium, 12.15pm, St Peter’s Chapel.

On 19th January 2016 peacefully at Highlands Borders Care Home aged 86 years.

Much loved mother to Sarah, Barbara and Nick and grandma to Ellie.

Recently moved from Kingsgate, Exeter.

On 6th January 2016 passed away peacefully in hospital aged 74 years of Cullompton.

Loving son of the late Dorothy.

Will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
