Calling all little linguists! A local language company are offering young babies and toddlers the chance to start learning Spanish with the help of Caramelo a cute little bear or "osito" in Spanish.

Kieron and Jeanna Skinner from Lingo Stars are offering their new Hola Caramelo Spanish activity sessions for babies and toddlers from 10th January at the Hub On The Green, in Exeter. National charity Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are desperately seeking kind-hearted volunteers in Exeter and surrounding areas to look after an adorable puppy in the home for a year.

The Creation Station Exeter & Mid Devon currently provides creative children's art and craft classes at various venues in and around Exeter. Their Little Explorer sessions for 1 – 5 year olds focus not on the end product, but on the journey of discovery the children experience whilst making their creations.

Devon boy wins NFU competition

Christmas came early for Rowan McDowell when he recieved £100 worth of Britains Farm Toys after winning a competition organised by the National Farmers’ Union (NFU).

The NFU champions British farming and provides professional representation and services to its Farmer and Grower members.

Rowan, 7,from Morchard Bishop, won the Let’s Talk Farming contest by spotting all the Red Tractor logos hidden in a picture depicting some typical British produce.

The National Trust's East Devon ranger team are running their next hedge laying event on Saturday 7 December at Lower Halsdon Farm.

Hedge-laying is a traditional method of maintaining and regenerating hedgerows and is generally carried out on a 12 to 15 year cycle. This helps prolong the life of the hedge, create a stock proof boundary as well as improving wildlife habitat.
