Walkies! Take on 62 Mile challenge to Support Dogs Trust Ilfracombe this October 

This October, Dogs Trust Ilfracombe is encouraging dog-lovers to put their best foot, or paw, forward to support dogs in need by taking on a brand-new fundraising challenge, 62 Miles in Dogtober, to help the charity continue to fund its vital rehoming services for dogs. Fundraisers can walk, jog, cycle or swim 62 miles throughout the month to complete in their own way.

Participants are asked to complete just two miles a day for the 31 days of October, or 62 miles in total. People can take part solo, bring their dog along for company, or team up with friends, family, or colleagues...

Home Instead Exeter and East Devon has received a prestigious award by a national reviews website, having been named one of the top 20 home care companies in the South West. They have made it onto the impressive list out of 856 home care companies in the region and this is the sixth time they have won this award.

Resurfacing on Queen Street in Exeter

Overnight resurfacing work will be carried out on Queen Street in Exeter from Monday 19 July.

The full length of the road, including the junction with High Street, will be resurfaced during the six-week scheme.

Queen Street will be closed in sections from 7pm until 6am each night to enable work to be carried out safely and to minimise disruption.

The road will be open as usual at weekends and during the daytime Monday to Friday.

Two Exeter graduates have launched a startup producing the world's first and only carbon-negative toilet roll.

Tom Trow, who studied Business Economics at the University of Exeter Business School, and Sanmarie Grobler, who graduated with a BA in Liberal Arts, launched their startup Bazoo after feeling inspired by SMEs who go out of their way to make positive changes for the planet.

The pair graduated in July 2020 during the height of the pandemic and decided to respond to the situation by starting a company that would make a positive impact on the planet.

Aldi is set to open a brand new store in Pinhoe on Thursday 29th July at 8am.

The store on Exhibition Way will be run by Store Manager Mitchell Allen, along with a team of 25 colleagues from the local community.

Take off for Loganair’s new Exeter-Norwich route

Loganair, the UK’s largest regional airline, has today (12 July) launched a new direct service between Exeter and Norwich, enhancing its 2021 summer schedule.

The new route will operate up to four times weekly, flying Mondays, Wednesday, Fridays and Sundays, connecting business and leisure travellers alike.

Operated using a 49-seat Embraer 145 regional jet, the route will see fares starting at just £64 one-way from Exeter.
