Leading South West building services engineering company EX2 Group has welcomed three new apprentices this week, as they begin their professional training in Electrical Installation with Exeter College.

Christian, Alfie, and Harvey were welcomed to the Exeter offices by James Rayner (right), Project Manager. The apprentices will combine on-site experience with classroom learning as they work towards their Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications. An 11-year-old Bengal cat who was seriously injured in a vicious fight over territory is back marauding again after specialist reconstructive surgery at a leading Somerset animal hospital.

The cat, called Genghis, was at risk of having his right leg amputated after a bite to his shoulder turned septic and the virulent infection began eating through the joint.

307 Squadron Project invites you to Exeter’s Guildhall for the special event For Your Freedom & Ours.

It will take place on 15 November 2021, to remember the Polish 307 Squadron.

The 307 night-fighter squadron was part of the RAF, who defended the South West of England during WW2.

It prevented Exeter from being totally destroyed during the blitz on the city in 1942.This year also marks the 80th anniversary of the Polish squadron arriving in Exeter.

Parents can now book covid-19 vaccinations online for their 12-15 year old children with appointments available as soon as this weekend, the NHS has announced.

People will be able to go online and check the National Booking Service to see if their local site has appointments to vaccinate children and young people, as the NHS covid-19 vaccination programme continues at pace.

A new fitness class for plus-size people has secured funding to run a low cost pilot in Exeter.

Phat Health was set up to help people who are told to lose weight and get more active but don't feel comfortable in mainstream gyms and fitness classes.
