Leading South West building services engineering company EX2 Group has welcomed three new apprentices this week, as they begin their professional training in Electrical Installation with Exeter College.

Christian, Alfie, and Harvey were welcomed to the Exeter offices by James Rayner (right), Project Manager. The apprentices will combine on-site experience with classroom learning as they work towards their Level 3 Electrical Installation qualifications. As well as offering a magical lit experience for visitors, Sidmouth’s first ever illuminated trail Connaught@Christmas is also providing a festive boost for local traders.

Wheelchair User raises Over £400 For Charity Through Completing ‘Marathon In A Month’ Challenge

Chris Long, a wheelchair user with cerebral palsy and a customer of Bluebird Care Exeter, has raised over £400 for Hospiscare by taking part in their ‘Marathon in a Month’ event in October.

He was inspired to take part after seeing a poster on Exeter’s Quayside during one of his regular outings with his Bluebird Care Exeter Care Assistant. He told the Care Assistant that he would love to take part and subsequently signed up.

Jolly runners needed for festive fundraising runs!

After last year’s cancellation due to the pandemic, Jolly Running returns to Escot for its popular series of Christmas races.

Four fun festive races are planned for the weekend of December 11 and 12.

The ‘Extremely Jolly’ race on Saturday is one of Jolly Running’s most popular events. The 7.5 mile course offers a variety of trails, mud, woodland tracks, paths, streams, quaint bridges, fields and a few water crossings. Unique to Jolly Running is a 30 metre waterslide at the end of the course, which always causes great hilarity amongst participants.
