Teddy Swims to headline TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham 2026

GRAMMY nominated vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims today announces a run of outdoor shows and festivals across the UK and Ireland for summer 2026 including a date in the Devon countryside.

The international chart-topper will head to TK Maxx presents Live at Powderham on Thursday June 25 as the latest headline artist announced for the live music event.

Devon Air Ambulance (DAA) is proud to reach a huge milestone this Summer as 30 years of lifesaving service are to be celebrated at two family-friendly events, the first of which was held on July 10th at Bideford Rugby Football Club and the second will be held at Darts Farm near Topsham on Saturday 13 August.

Seaside entertainment featuring puppets, magic and songs will return to Devon’s beaches, promenades and quaysides this summer thanks to apprenticeships helping to keep traditional performance forms alive and well through training emerging local artists.

Promenade shows with slapstick, songs and Punch and Judy have become increasingly rare as holiday habits change but that won’t be the case in the county as new trainees run free performances including puppetry, escapology, blade box routines and storytelling.

Tesco shoppers in Devon have been given a big thank-you after providing nearly 30,000 meals to support local food banks and frontline charities.

The 29,966 collected across the county between June 30 and July 2 was part of a total of 1.3 million meals donated by generous Tesco shoppers across the UK in large stores, with an additional 20 percent top-up added by Tesco.

A Devon health and wellbeing charity is seeking ‘chatty’ volunteers to come on board once a week to provide friendly conversation, information and support to local people on the number 57 bus between Exmouth and Exeter. The Chatty Bus, organised by Westbank Community Health and Care, relaunched on Thursday, 28th July as part of an initiative to reduce loneliness and social isolation.

Talented twins whose music is championed by Coldplay have graduated from the same course, at the same university, on the same day.

Theo and Bertie Pedrick decided to study together at the University of Exeter so they could pursue their music career.

South West England innovators collaborate to develop enhanced solutions for seagrass monitoring

A new, non-invasive method to measure and monitor seagrass biomass on the seabed around England’s South West coast is being developed as part of an ongoing, collaborative project.
