Since the introduction of a four-day working week last May, data from Tyler Grange’s Alertness App reports that employees are 14% happier and 28% less tired.

Devon’s Work Hub network is continuing to grow across the county with the addition of three more hubs. Axminster, Ivybridge and Totnes are the latest to join the network, which now has a total of 22 flexible coworking spaces. The unique aspects of each of these three Hubs reflect emerging trends in the coworking world, providing niche offerings and a heightened focus on community. It’s a 4-day week for the tribe at Tyler Grange Exeter

Exeter landscape planning, ecology and arboriculture consultancy, Tyler Grange has become the first in their industry to sign up to the 4-day week pilot programme - beginning in June. More than 3,000 workers at 60 companies across the UK are taking part in the trial.

In association with 4-Day Week Global , UK think tank Autonomy and researchers at Cambridge University, Boston College and Oxford University, the pilot programme will initially run for six months and will see reduced hours but no loss of income for Tyler Grange’s employees.

A CARE company in south Devon is urging anyone being made redundant from a customer-facing role in the county to get in touch as their skills are needed in the sector (October 2020).

Plans announced to expand successful Work Hubs for growing businesses

Devon County Council is announcing the next phase of expansion to a network of business work spaces, which is helping to boost the county’s productivity.

Around 20 per cent of Devon workers are working from home, some of them small businesses that started from spare rooms and kitchen tables, and many are looking to move into larger office accommodation.

Work hubs are the answer, providing flexible term office space, equipped with facilities that modern businesses need. And Devon County Council wants there to be more of them.

Workspace provider Regus is offering free business lounge access at its centres in Devon for World Car Free Day on Friday 22nd September. The initiative is designed to help professionals avoid a car journey into work, and instead work from a professional environment within walking or cycling distance from home.

Flexible working can be an antidote to office heath risks

Flexible working can provide an antidote to the health risks associated with sedentary office jobs in Exeter according to a new survey from Regus. Medical journal The Lancet recently published a paper outlining the risks to health of sitting at the desk all day.

New research by global workplace provider Regus has revealed that a fifth of businesses in Exeter are planning to hire more returning mothers than they did a year ago. These latest findings are based on a survey of local business owners and senior managers.
