Leading South West law firm, WBW Solicitors is delighted to announce two senior promotions of Associates to Partner status.

Amy Read joined WBW in 2013 after attending the University of Plymouth and undertaking her training contract with a Plymouth Law firm.

She is a member of the firm's Private Client team and has particular expertise in Will and inheritance disputes, but she also has extensive experience in all elements of private client matters. Amy is a member of the prestigious Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists.

New flagship office for WBW

Devon law firm WBW has acquired two floors of Castle Circus House, providing over 8,000 sq ft of purpose purpose-built office block on Union Street, Torquay.

The building was constructed in the late 1930’s by Walter Jenkins Marble.

Currently operating out of two smaller offices in the town, the plan is for both premises to relocate to the new flagship office in summer of this year.

Devon law firm wins six figure pay out for accident victim

Leading Devon law firm, WBW Solicitors have achieved a six figure pay out for a client following a serious road traffic accident approximately four years ago.

The man concerned, who wishes to remain anonymous, was involved in a high speed head on collision and suffered a serious brain injury and pelvic injuries.

He was in intensive care for several weeks undergoing many operations. As a result of his injuries he has been left with memory problems, fatigue, significant scarring and walks with a limp and will have to undergo further surgery in the future.

WBW promote Exeter solicitor to partner

Exeter solicitor Debbie Hamzij, who started as a receptionist, has recently been promoted to partner within law firm WBW.

Debbie first entered the legal profession in June 1987 in a clerical role with a firm which amalgamated with WBW Solicitors in 1989. She then became a secretary and later rose to become a legal executive in 1996. After studying at Exeter University, she qualified as a solicitor in 2003.
