The FORCE Cancer Charity shop in Heavitree is holding a special vintage sale day next month.

All sorts of retro goodies from 80s knitwear to tin toys and vintage books will be on offer at the FORE Street store on Saturday November 2.

There will be bargains galore including collectable books at half their marked price.

Rev up for summer at Killerton’s Classic Car Day

Get into gear this summer admiring 400 vintage vehicles at Killerton’s Classic Car Day on the National Trust estate just outside of Exeter.

On Sunday 13 May, over 400 classic car enthusiasts will be taking a pit stop in the historic parkland to showcase their pride and joy. Jeff Stokes from Exeter has found a sense of purpose and renewed self-confidence from volunteering with local charity Hospiscare. Five years ago Jeff, who is now 67, retired early from a busy job with South West Water. Having been unwell for a while with a persistent cough, Jeff made the decision to leave work and investigate his ill health further. After seeing various specialists a tumour was discovered on one of Jeff’s tonsils and subsequently he was given the devastating diagnosis of having head and neck cancer.
