New campaign warns of threat of radicalisation

The Safer Devon Partnership has today launched a campaign featuring a hard-hitting film, warning people of the threat of radicalisation.

Through its campaign the Partnership, which provides leadership for community safety work carried out across the county, is seeking to raise awareness about the risks of radicalisation, and in particular the role the internet (through social media, online gaming etc) often plays in that process.

Communities across Devon are being urged to remain calm but alert following terror attacks in London on Saturday night (June 3).

Seaton Tramway’s Halloween Week of “Tram of Terror” by Day and “Shock ‘O Horror Zombie Fest” by Night!

Seaton Tramway will be offering spooky family days out in Devon during the Autumn half term from Monday 27 October until Saturday 1t November.

Hallowe'en “Trams of Terror” will run by day during that period up to Colyton for our younger visitors and at night they magically transform into “Shock ‘O Horror Zombie Fest” trams for much “older” children to experience the dark side of Seaton Tramway.

Following their mini tour this summer, which ended in a sell out performance at the Barnfield Theatre, EAT return with another chance to see three short terror plays that explore the darker side of the human condition before they take the production to London.

Two are by a true forgotten hero of British Grand Guignol, Frederick Witney. The naturalistic viciousness which Witney injected into his writing resulted in COALS OF FIRE being banned outright when submitted for a license for the 1920's London Grand Guignol.
