Saturday 4 July 2020 will be a BIG day in Exmouth for local charity Hospiscare.

This much-loved event returns to Exmouth in the summer with two brand new routes and a new venue.

This women’s walking event offers a scenic 6.5 mile walk or a more challenging 13.1 mile route, both of which take in stunning views along Exmouth seafront and the picturesque estuary. Participants will be entertained along the way and rewarded with a glass of pink fizz at the finish.

Tutus, beach hats and flower leis are encouraged as this year’s theme is beach party with Twilight’s iconic...

Saturday 6 July will be a BIG day in Exmouth for local charity Hospiscare . Exmouth and Lympstone Hospiscare will be holding their Family Fun Day at Manor Gardens from 10am – 4pm with live entertainment and lots of fun activities. Having had a great day with the whole family it will then be time for the mums, nans and aunties to don their pink tutus and bunny ears (not compulsory) and head on down to The Maer for either the Twilight Walk or 5K Fizz Run in aid of Hospiscare.

New Hospiscare@Home service launches

Hospiscare@Home is a new service which brings the expertise of the hospice into the home, responding to the needs of the local communities in and around Budleigh Salterton, Exmouth, Lympstone and Woodbury.

This new service is an extension of the Clinical Nurse Specialist service already provided in the area and offers hands-on nursing care when required, any time, day or night, supporting adult patients with life-limiting illness who wish to remain at home at the end of their lives.

Film Screening: How to Die in Oregon

The Exeter branch of the Campaign for Dignity in Dying is holding a film screening event in Exeter on Friday 28th April at 7pm.

Local people are invited to watch How to Die in Oregon, an award-winning documentary following the journey of several terminally ill people as they explore the choices available to them. This includes assisted dying which has been legal in Oregon for 20 years.
