During the 60's & 70's the sensational Spinners took the TV screens and music world by storm and introduced many of us to the folk scene with a combination of traditional folk music, many well known songs by Ewan MacColl, sea shanties, Christmas songs and those which simply made us laugh.

Mick Groves and Hughie Jones, 'the last two Spinners standing' who are both now in their 80's, will be meeting up for a one off concert at Countess Wear Village Hall in Exeter on June 15th. The last time the they played in Exeter the show was a sell out, the music and great and the camaraderie...

Exeter School's LEJOG stand raises £500 for charity

Exeter School put their best wheel forward by spinning the last leg of the ambitious Land’s End to John O’Groats cycle ride they are carrying out in August.

The intrepid team cycled 199.9 miles, replicating the final stage of the LEJOG route from Inverness to John O’Groats, using three bikes on turbo trainers in Exeter’s Princesshay on Saturday 11 June to raise money for the Janine di Vincenzo Foundation and The Children's Society. They succeeded in raising almost £500 thanks to the generosity of the general public.
