Small to medium-sized manufacturers in the Exeter are being urged to take part in a major survey detailing the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on industry.

The health of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the UK remains at its lowest level in three years, according to the SME Health Check Index, a quarterly economic index compiled by leading economics consultancy - Centre for Economics and Business Research Limited (Cebr) in association with CYBG PLC, owner of Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks. Businesses in Exeter can now get extra support from Exeter Library following its launch as an Intellectual Property (IP) Centre. SW SMEs owed an average of £99,000 in outstanding invoices

SMEs in South West are owed an average of £99,000 in outstanding invoices, according to the latest Business in Britain report from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

This is an increase of 32 per cent since the last Business in Britain report in January 2016, with 21 per cent of firms citing late payments as the biggest cause of cashflow problems. The report also found that a fifth (21 per cent) of firms in the South West are currently owed more than £200,000 in outstanding invoices, up from 18 per cent in January. Fast track your business with Devon's new growth programme

Companies across Devon are being offered the chance to take part in the county’s first Fast Track to Growth Programme to help them develop and implement plans for growth in 2016 – for free. Apply by 19 February, 5pm.
