Ignite has launched its national roadshow for 2015, which is looking for people with a bright business idea that uses energy to make a difference to people’s lives.

Godspell, Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz’ legendary rock musical is back.

The Deputy Prime Minister is calling on people to nominate unsung mental health heroes in their local area as part of his campaign to raise awareness of mental health problems. Police are appealing for information to locate a woman reported missing from the Tiverton area. Concerns are growing for Ann Holding, 48, who has been reported to police as missing from her home in Cadbury, between Tiverton and Crediton. Two men arrested in Torquay under Terrorism Act

Yesterday afternoon (Thursday, 3rd January) police arrested two men under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act – the preparation of a terrorist act.

The two arrested men were initially detained on suspicion of committing criminal damage, but later rearrested under the Terrorism Act.

Police spent much of yesterday searching an address in Lymington Road, Torquay, which required the evacuation of a small number of neighbouring properties, including a 31-week pregnant woman. The road cordons have now been removed, although police remain at the property.

Haul of jewellery recovered by officers in Exeter

Police are asking the public to come forward to help identify a haul of jewellery recovered by officers in Exeter.

Officers believe the numerous items of jewellery – including distinctive rings and watches – may have been stolen during burglaries or thefts in Devon and Cornwall or further afield.

The appeal follows the arrest of a 57-year-old Exeter man in July in connection with handling stolen goods.

Exeter police are urging anyone who recognises the items to come forward and contact them.
