Estuary Bouys Great Music

Well known around Teignmouth the Estuary Bouys are appearing in Exeter for the first time. The threesome - Martyn ,percussion and vocals, Phil, acoustic guitar, mandolin and vocals, and Chris, acoustic guitar and vocals, play a lively mix of rock and pop with a bit of folk. Mallory Knox

The Cambridge rock five-piece, Mallory Knox are coming to Exeter later this year.

They released their debut album Signals in 2013 and it reached the Top 40 in the album charts. They went on to release their second album, Asymmetry last year and that raced into the top 20 of the album charts at #16!

They will be joined by the American five-piece, Set it Off and the Scottish indie band The Xcerts.

Fightstar

Fighstar, a four-piece rock band fronted by Charlie Simpson are coming to Exeter this October.

After playing Sonisphere in 2010, they went on an indefinate hiatus. Charlie went on to persue a successful solo career and the other band mates went down other career paths. They are now back and releasing new material, along with embarking on a UK tour.

The Kinks to play Exeter Corn Exchange

Fans of legendary UK rock band The Kinks are in for a treat at Exeter Corn Exchange on Wednesday 12 August.

Kast Off Kinks features former members of the band back together again to re-live the good times.

The line-up features Mick Avory (the band’s original drummer), John Dalton (who played with the band in the 60s and 70s) on bass and vocals, Ian Gibbons (from the 80s and 90s line up) on keyboards and vocals and Dave Clarke (formerly of the Beach Boys) on guitar and vocals.

The set list will include all of The Kinks’ famous hits including You really Got Me, Sunny...

Young Okehampton Band 'Downfall' need your votes!

Young up-and-coming rock band Downfall from Okehampton are needing your votes as part of a nationwide competition 'Brand New Artist'. They take influence from Stone Sour, Black Stone Cherry and Black Label Society.

Along with 99 other acts, they are competing to win prizes to the value of 100k.

The band consist of 25 year old Karl Little on lead guitar and vocals, 18 year old Jake Hodgson on guitar, 15 year old Nathan Bostock on bass and 15 year old Mack Hodgson on drums. They have been together since spring 2013 and have been gigging since May of that year.

Phil Murray's Diamond Dogz take take you on a trip through the glittering 70s, featuring early Bowie hits, along with other glam rock hits from the era.

An original star of the seventies Glam New Wave era, Phil Murray has an illustrious past, fronting the band U-Boat with drummer Woody Woodmany who was David Bowie’s drummer in Spiders from Mars.

Phil’s band includes Ilbert Stubbs, ex-bass player with Uli Jon Roth of Scorpions fame, and Chris Peters on drums.

They are currently rehearsing for the forthcoming UK tour for reformed U-Boat.

QUEEN fans in the Exeter area have been given an unexpected opportunity to see one of the UK’s leading tributes to the legendary rock band.

Queen II, a Sheffield-based band who have toured the UK and Europe since 2009, will be performing at Tiverton Golf Club, Tiverton, on Saturday 25 April.

Their show for members and friends on Friday 24 April sold out within two weeks, prompting the club to organise a second event the following night which is open to everyone.
