Sea Birds and Bugs led by museum curators

Meet at Dawlish Warren train station.

Discover the birds and bugs living along the coast on this family event led by curators, experts and enthusiasts. Hunt in the sand dunes for coastal beetles and spiders or sit and watch the birds. A joint event between RAMM, Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery and the RSPB.

11am-2pm. Meet at Dawlish Warren train station.

Please wear warm clothes. The dunes are a 20 minute walk from the station.

RAMM Exhibition: Life Through the Lens

This exhibition invites you to question the nature of still and moving image as a record of the past.

Showcasing images from RAMM’s collection of historic glass plate slides, cine film contributed by members of the public, and digital images generated by local young people, you are invited to explore the nature of the recorded past. What can images tell us about people and places? What images have survived? What should museums preserve for the future?

Opening times: 10am-5pm Tuesday to Saturday, free admission.

Family Activity Day at RAMM: Saving Face

The Big Draw at RAMM: Line up for the House of Horrors

Sketch a scene inspired by the architecture of our wonderful Victorian museum and create a Halloween cartoon featuring museum objects. For children aged 6 and over.

10.30am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3.30pm.
