Exeter Pound have succeeded their target and more by successfully raised over £6800 through an exciting Crowdfunder campaign.

With the funds raised they will have the resources to take the local currency to the next stage- going digital. One week to go for Exeter Pound crowdfunder

The Exeter Pound have been running a crowdfund campaign over the last few weeks to prepare the way for the community currency to go digital.

The campaign will come to an end next Monday 4th April with all money raised going towards the systems needed to create the digital currency.

So far the ‘crowd’ have pledged more than £6,000 to the project and in return will receive unique rewards such as a locally designed t-shirts and shopping bags or even the ‘Exeter Pound Mystery Box’. Exeter launched its own paper currency in September 2015 and its reach has been growing ever...

Exeter £E15 becomes history

As the Exeter Pound goes into the next chapter, they’re saying goodbye to the limited edition £E15 note. The note features Exeter Chiefs and England star Jack Nowell in action and celebrated the 2015 Rugby World Cup coming to Exeter.

The special note, valid until 31st December 2015, 4 months after the Exeter Pound officially launched, is now part of the project’s unique history.
