Robert Garnham and Rob Barratt are two of the South West’s funniest spoken word artists. Both of the Robbies perform all around the UK and internationally. After several years of enjoying each other’s work they have come together to present an evening of thought-provoking poetry, whimsy, song and daftness.

Local author, poet, and generally eclectic writer P.J. Reed has just published the fourth book in her collection of senryu and haiku poetry.
P.J. Reed is a member of the Exeter Authors Association and this is the first of her two books published in 2017.

An Exeter taxi driver is to launch his project ‘West country poetry tours’ in less than a week.
Well-liked and admired Shane O’Sullivan, or better known as Jack the Hat, began the concept for this project just before Christmas. It aims to bring people over from America to experience the hidden gems of the West Country.
He said: “We are trying to get them to come and see some of the highlights which we believe are important and often overlooked by tourists.”
The website went out to the British tourist board in New York on Friday and hopes to be signed and completed...

The Exeter Singers, conducted by Tony Yates are holding a charity concert in aid of the “Meet and Remember Club”, a newly formed charity serving local people and in particular those with early or moderate dementia. The club meets weekly on Wednesdays at The Beacon, Beacon Heath. The choir will be performing a variety of music, from madrigals to Cole Porter, interspersed with poetry and solo piano and voice. As International Women's Day approaches, it's time to celebrate some of the incredible women who make music in Devon. Creative, Assertive and Diverse is the talent of our musical madams. And yet, year after year women struggle to top the bills at shows, events and festivals, with only 14% of acts beng female led at ALL major festivals in 2015. Now I dont know about you ... but theres something wrong with that picture.
Poetry By Heart is the poetry recitation competition for students in schools and colleges in England. Launched by Sir Andrew Motion in 2012, it is an educational initiative of the Poetry Archive in partnership with The Full English. It has gone from strength to strength and is now in its fourth year.
Students aged 14-18 across England will recite a pre-1914 poem and a First World War or post-1914 poem to become our regional winner, and compete in the national finals in Cambridge in March 2016. Come and support your local students!
