Onecom among first top tier winners in new Vodafone partner process

Leading telecoms provider Onecom has become one of the first companies to be awarded the status of Total Communications Partner under the new Vodafone Partner Programme.

The award comes after Onecom staff completed thousands of hours of training in total communications expertise and customer excellence.

A total of 425 staff members at Onecom’s Hampshire headquarters and at its offices around the UK completed a combined 1,882 hours of training to meet Vodafone’s requirements for submission to the programme.

Sexual assault on train to London

Detectives from British Transport Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted whilst travelling on a train between Plymouth and London Paddington.

Just after 9am on Friday 11 November, a 21-year-old woman boarded a train at Plymouth station, bound for London. During her journey a man sat next to her and then touched her inappropriately. She challenged the man who then moved to a different seat.

He then left the train at Paddington and entered the London Underground.

CLIC for Christmas 2016 - final lineup revealed

Schools from Barnstaple and Plymouth have won a chance to perform in a major fundraising concert in Exeter Cathedral. The Park Community School and Devonport High School emerged victorious from the Devon Schools Choir Competition, run by La La Choirs at Southernhay URC on October 6. SW employers grow in confidence despite Brexit

The fourth quarter of 2016 has seen a boost of confidence in the South West with hiring intentions of +3%, according to Manpower, the world’s workforce experts. GLOBAL online game craze Pokemon Go! has appeared at Plymouth Science Park.

The game is a free location-based reality game which allows players to capture, battle and train ‘virual’ Pokemon who appear throughout the real world.

It hasn’t even been released in the UK yet but one of the locations where you can find Pokemon is in the car park of the Plymouth Science Park.

It is an ‘Electabuzz’ which looks like a yellow, stripy, cartoon goblin crossed with a tiger. Players are meant to find it, train it and capture it.

Plymouth Science Park tenants are asking the west country business community to come forward with their experience of cyber fraud.
