Wizard of Oz set for Exeter Corn Exchange

The spirit of Christmas can never be defeated, and just like Santa, panto will always find a way to make an appearance!

That is certainly the case at Exeter Corn Exchange, where preparations are being made for this year’s pantomime, The Wizard of Oz!

In true theatre tradition the show must go on and with the Coronavirus pandemic, organisers have been working hard to ensure this year’s production allows safe family fun, with extra precautions put in place.

These include socially distanced seating, extra cleaning and a shorter running time without an interval....

Coronation Street star returns for Exmouth Pavilion panto

It may only be August however panto bosses at Exmouth Pavilion are already working hard towards their biggest pantomime to date. This year Trio Entertainment will return to produce The fun-filled family favourite "Jack and The Beanstalk” starring Coronation Streets and Dancing On Ice star ‘Steven Arnold” best known for his role as Ashley Peacock in Coronation Street.

It was in 1996 that he made his debut in the soap and he remained there for the next 15 years. Out of all the memorable storylines he was given, the one Steven picks as his favourite is one of the first he did....

Flying carpets spotted over Silverton… as the exotic east arrives with Aladdin!

A TIMELESS tale of love set in exotic ancient China is coming to Silverton this February half-term as Aladdin swops the 55B bus to ride in on his magic carpet!

The Mid Devon village will be transformed into enchanting old Peking fit for a beautiful princess, a dastardly uncle, a clever genie and love-struck Aladdin in this family-favourite pantomime – the first to be staged in the village for almost 30 years!

Staged by the Silverton Luvvies, this modern take on a time-less classic promises laughs, love, intrigue and, er, two idiotic policemen!
